Each element is blown in Murano glass and lined with a thin layer of gold leaf, recalling the mosaics that cover the domes of the basilica. As the light moves, the surfaces glow warm and then fade, like tesserae catching the sun.
San Marco is composed rather than installed: domes, arcades and constellations are drawn around the architecture that receives them. Scale, density and suspension height are defined with the architect, so each installation becomes a quiet echo of Venice in the room.
