Each element is drawn from a thread of Murano glass and twisted by hand while still warm, so that it seems woven rather than blown. Along the curves the glass thickens and thins, catching the light in a rhythm that recalls the gold trims of Venetian palaces.
Gallone is composed rather than hung: ribbons, braids and fringes are arranged to follow the lines of the room that hosts them. Length, density and suspension height are defined with the architect, so each installation adorns the space like a precious trim.
